I think someone in my apartment flushed my sons cotton training pants down the toilet what do we do? My apartment has a lot of problems and the maintenance is so irritated with us calling that they wait 1-3 months everytime we call about something (and no, I can't move) I need to know a way to fix it, and I can't really afford call a plumber. Please help!

go to the store and invest in a toilet snake/auger it runs about 20.00 bucks and it helps

Shut off the water and pull out the toilet. You'll have to remove the offending plug and replace the wax ring and maybe the toilet bolts depending on how rusted they are now.

First answer correct. Have some rubber gloves and maybe a coat hanger to hook it. You not want to push it further down the hole so think and take your time.
