The Crusades existed. Go Google it. Christians had to fight the advancing barbarian Muslims. They saved Europe from becoming dominated by Islam. It was a good thing.

Ask Muslims about their holy war, jihad, which is what they always did and still are doing. All of Islam is about furthering the cause of Allah.

There's nothing very holy about war, but people use the term to describe a war that is caused by a conflict of religious beliefs. That is, most wars that were not obviously over territory, and about half of the ones that were.

The crusades were repeated attempts (successful for only a short while) on the part of Christians to bring the Holy Lands (that is, the area around Jerusalem mentioned in the Bible as having been where Jesus walked) under their control. To them, it was "freeing" the holy lands from the Muslims. Problem is, Jerusalem is sacred to three religions, not just one. The Muslims felt they were defending the holy land from invasion by white people from Europe who had no business there.

Killing Jews has been a big part of history at various times, so I will not attempt to detail those. The most famous, of course, was World War II, which was so recent your grandparents may well remember it. But the idea of Jews as a separate tribe, who did not mix with others, has created a hostile situation from the get-go.

A Holy War, is therefore an Unholy War, which is being discussed by the people who believe (or pretend to believe) that it is or was a war over religion. Thus, the war going on right now in Iraq is considered a holy war by most of the participants. Our military is predominantly Christian, and have been recruited and promoted as such, and the Iraqis are almost exclusively Muslim.

An oxymoron. The only time a true Holy war will be fought is when Jesus comes again. He is more than capable of fighting His own battles.I just want a ring side seat. I won't need to lift a finger at all.

A "holy war" is a fiction created by people who want to assume control over the resources of another country.

Religion is a dandy way to persuade people to kill their fellow humans.

The christains had regained jerusalem, they were victoriouse thats why they did this. I don't know from where in bible can they justify this action. Well holy war, or religiouse war should be fought in the religiouse way you know to attian religiouse objectives. Right?

Some countrys don't reconize Israel as a country, because they were slaves, freed by God. This causes the so called holy wars.

i'm not sure, but it could be the preservation of ones own religion when it is in danger of being erradicated. I'm not really sure what the crusades were about though...
