That is a pretty good question, but I don't think that will happen. First look at his age, he might decide that he had enough of manging, and it is time for him to retire from manging. And first before that happens, there has to be a vacancy in the manger's job for the Boston Red Sox, and I don't think the GM will fire Terry Francona yet, and of course we know that he won't be the manger of the Boston Red Sox forever. And Joe Torre is lucky, he is one of the fewest mangers that quit before the person in charge of the manger, you know his boss, before he fired him, and that is not normmaly the case. And normally that would be the GM of the team. And a 12 year run fopr the Yankees, that is pretty good, there are still a lot of teams, that change mangers many times during that time.

The way Theo Epstein is flaunting the money around, I think it'd be a possibility in the future, not anytime soon. However, Torre is 67 and he's going to retire soon probably. Plus Francona has a contract until, I think, 2010 and will probably get an extension for another two years.

Plus I wouldn't want to see Torre as a Red Sox manager. Possibilities, in my opinion, when Francona is gone, would be Joe Girardi!

The better question for the Red Sox, how do they get rid of J.D. Drew and Eric Gagne? $75 million for what?

Will Boston let Terry Francona go, don't think so. Deep down, I think most Boston fans would like the idea of Joe Torre being the teams manager even though most won't admit it. He is one of the best managers in baseball today. How would Yankee fans react & when he came to New York as the visiting teams manager. I think he would get a very good reception, I would hope after all he has done for the team & had to put up with George Steinbrenner

Why would they want him? Terry Francona in the most winningest manager in RED SOX history with another year on his contract.

Plus, Joe cries too much...

It would be great to rub the yankees fans noses in it, but unlike the yankees the RED SOX don't really care about the big headline, they care about the team dynamic.
