i work through a temp agency at a company.... i was wondering if it was against the law for them to hire someone else before they hired me? just asking because someone told me that it was against the law in Missouri if you had a temp person working there you are supposed to offer them the job before you go and hire someone else through the company...can anyone tell me where i can find information about that please.

Being a "right to work" State, I doubt you have any rights. I am in Arkansas and the temp companies are also owned by the companies that do their temp hiring. There is all kinds of fanagling in the contract. Since it is actually two companies (Temp and actual business) the "company" can hire whoever they want to, while the temp company supplies their "day labor".
