my name is evangeline, and my twin sister is called angelica. we used to like it because theyre similar, but the other day someone made a really mean comment and we wish we had different names. our little sisters are called Melanie and Sophie, and were starting to think maybe they are better names.
what do you think about the names evangeline and angelica for twins?

They are beautiful names, and the person that made a mean comment is just a jerk that obviously has their own problems going on and needs to be insulting to feel better about themselves.

Let the mean comment go and enjoy your names!

I would not do it, but who cares
But with Evangeline and Angelica you can go by
Eva and Angel or Eva and Angie
You can have different names as nickname
People could not make fun of Eva and Angelica or Angie and Evangeline or Eva and Angel or Eva and Angie

I would suggest, for one our both fine a nickname to make your names a little different
I Think your parents thought it was cute, and so do you. But they did give you names that can be shorten, and made a little different
I went to school with twins name Anna and Anne, after both grandmothers. That you can not make short, or a nickname for it to be different
Your parents gave you names you can come up with a nickname

the names evangeline and angelica are not offensive - not my favorites, but they're decent names.

As far as what someone else commented to hurt your feelings, don't let it bother you. Some people have no class.

They are very close together. You could go by your middle names or go by Evan and Ange. A friend of mine named her twins Tristan Dewayne and Cristian Wayne which was always a mouthful (and confusing) so we started calling them Trey and Cris. I personally don't know why people do this but at least they are pronounced differently ( I went to school with twins named Benard and Lenard!!)

I don't now how you look , but when I read the names it immediately sounded like the names of HOT girls. I am a girl too, and very much straight. It is just my honest opinion. Other then that your parents were really clever to give you those names. The person that made the comment is just jealous.

I like that they don't rhyme or both start with the same letter... The names seem a tad bit thematic, but not in an obvious or stupid way, like twin names such as Hope and Faith, or Justice and Liberty....

Your mom did a good job! There's nothing wrong with either of your names!

They are cute, but they are quite similar. I don't believe in naming twins similar names. I have twins and twins on the way, they names are/will be very different.
