I read that all N draft router are VoIP enabled, so f i buy an N draft router like the d-link 615, can i use that router as a VoIP phone adapeter too? or do i have to buy a different device and then conect it to that router? im really confused, id really appreciate some help

Unless that router has phone ports you will have to have another adapter for the VoIP to the phones. With vonage etc. you will get an adapter which connects to the router.

The fact that the routers are VOIP enabled only means that they will pass the traffic, not that they have the adapter built into them.

There are SOME routers that do have the VOIP adapters built in, they will be labled and will be for the VOip supplier stated!

I use an older G router which works just fine with VoIP the fact is that these days most all routers will pass the traffic and most still have to have an adapter to connect the phone lines.

I believe you can without any extra software. I don't know for sure though.
