I'm in London, England by the way so if you're in the states we probably don't have all the same products. I'd say I was about the same skin tone as someone like Brandy maybe?

I've been using Maybelline Dream Matt Mousse in Cocoa, but it's a shade too dark, and the Caramel is far too light so I'm not sure what else to go for.

MAC! they have just about every shade, and in different types of foundations. theyre amazing. You could also go to a department store (in north america, like The Bay) and talk to a lady at one of the makeup counters. If you have it there, clinique, lancome and dior would probably have your shade.) theyre a bit expensive (10$ usd/cad = 5pounds roughly) but they are so good, theyre well worth the money.

I wouldn't bother with cosmetics such as Maybelline, Rimmell or MaxFactor.

It cost more to get the foundation right for women of colour, so i would advise to go to department stores such as Harrods, Selfridges, House of Frasers etc..

Have a look at -
Bobbi Brown (brought my 1st foundation from here!! Excellent - last forever!)

Benefit - gives a really good modern glowing look!

Mac - currently using there Studio Fix and Tech, finding it really good, excellent match.

Prestrictives (!?) - actually devise a foundation for your EXACT skin tone!! Not tried it, but friends have and they have got the match perfect for black women.

It will depend on your skin type, as when i was younger i used Bobbi Brown but since getting to mid-20's my skin type has changed therefore, i have started looking at other brands. So you will have to look around at what best suits you.

Also, dont feel pressured into buying the product. Have the make artist apply the foundation, go shopping then in a few hours or the following day having seen how it looks and feels on your skin, then purchase it. A good make artist will actually recommend you doing this.

Good luck!!

i'm from the older technology, and a few of those bands are greater Doom steel than Black steel yet some Sabbath/Priest era bands you won't have heard incorporate: difficulty - My own renowned in this checklist. Witchfynde Witchfinder typical St. Vitus electric Wizard steel Church Lizzy Borden Sanctuary (which quite superior into Nevermore - possibly greater prog steel, regardless of the shown fact that) Hell Hammer image Heaven & Hell (Black Sabbath 2.0 - Their final album The devil you comprehend rocks - R.I.P. Dio) Grim Reaper - albeit a splash stupid yet some quite good riffs. Overkill - i will purely propose I hear Black because of the fact i've got purely heard a fragment of their albums. this is approximately all I have been given for now.

I used to work in cosmetics and the counter opposite mine was Fashion Fair and they cater for black and Asian skin. I didn't really like their foundations as I thought the coverage was really heavy but they do do a liquid foundation which was quite good, my ex colleague used to mix Fashion Fair foundation with a YSL to get the colour she wanted.

I've also heard that MAC is great for black women as they do a lot of shades.

Hope that helps!

The Lancome line.
oh my goodness!
it is amazingggg
its a little bit of a splurge, at about 40.00 per bottle, but mine usually lasts me a year.
if you go up to the counter, you can ask them to match your skin tone, the foundation that matches you best.
im telling you, in my opinion, it is a dream come true :)

Had the same problem, go to a department store, they will help you find one, although not all of the counter staff are good, so get a friend/second opinion to make sure.

I'm not really sure...but i dont really think you need foundation! Don't they say that black women don't get wrinkles? You probably have beautiful skin, but im not one to go by...
