I've seen them for years large and small. Some people have said they are poisoness. I don't believe that because I've handled them. They look just like a twig. I threw one off the front deck 2 days ago. He came back last night and is stationary on the glass of my storm door. He's still here this morning.

For just a few!
They're commonly kept as pets in Europe and other parts of the world. And i haven't seen one in a long long time.

That is the common name often associtaed with that species. They are harmless.
