India. I spent 5 weeks there in 1998 and 1999. It is a vast and truly remarable country. The culture is rich and storied and it has some very interesting architecture and historically important monuments. I'm not sure if I will ever return, but I will always remember my travels there with a smile.

Sedonia, Arizona. It's in the middle of the red rock region, strangely weathered and rather beautiful. There is a "vortex" on the edge of town, where New Age types are taken to the top of a mesa or flat rock by Native American guides. I stayed below, but My Steve went up there to meditate. He said it seemed special, but he was distracted by the chatter of the other tourists.
I doubt that I would return unless there was some major reason for doing so. It's too expensive, and the town is basically given over to the "New Age" types.

Most exotic? Probably Malta....I haven't been anywhere too exotic...all of my travel has been within Europe and the USA....but I did go on tour to Malta for a week in 1991 with a choir I was singing with at the time. I seem to remember I quite liked it....I haven't been back yet....but I might like to go back some time!

I lived in the US Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas for almost 5 years. I have visited a lot of islands in the Caribbean, used to scuba dive regularly in the Cayman Islands, and sailed a 52' sailboat down to St. Maarten. and all of this before I was 18.
After I joined the US Army, I got to goto Italy, Germany and Panama....but where I really want to go is Fiji -

Costa Rica ... near the Arenal Volcano
I had a chance to spend several days there in 2001. My room had an awesome view of the volcano (which is an active one), and I would sit there at night & watch the lava flow down the side of it.
I would love to go back at some point in the future ...

Machu Picchu, site of an ancient Incan city in Peru. It's a bit hard to get there and the altitude is insane. Hiking around there you feel like you're in another world. Steep mountains covered in jungle.

The Gambia.... Africa !!,
Africa gets in your blood once you've been, I wouldn't mind
living there for a long long time and that does include visiting the slums where people have almost nothing. Go to the toilet there ( hole in the ground with maggots crawling under your *ss ) and you'll stop wondering why you don't pass food with your left hand. ......Where's the paper ?? There never was any ! they can't afford it, sheer western luxury ...So I will gladly return one day.

Grand Cayman, we swam with the sting rays that was fun and the water was so clear. Then also the Mayan ruins at Cozumel.
I would like to go back, haven't been since my parents and I took a cruise for their 25th anniversary when I was 12.

for me it must be China.
Spent 2 weeks there travelling around and was awed at the culture, history and its people.
But I don't think I would go back as there are just too many other places to see, if I ever get the chance.
