Sure,I believe 100%.

it depends what "right" is. some countries are run 100% according to what their religion says is 'right', but that doesn't make them right in any way. if what is 'right' depends on whether the people of a country agree with it (because they know what is right for them as a community), then the only 'right' government is an anarchy, which is kind of a paradox.

in representative democracies (like in the uk), the country can never be run 100% right i think, because different people have different needs, and since whole constituencies are represented by a single mp, only one side will get through when there are potentially thousands. anyway, if it could be run '100% right' then there would be no need or use for elections, as it could only make things worse (although it can seem that way sometimes).

i think that it is very difficult, if not impossible, for a country to be governed 100%...big groups of people can't agree on anything i think. if coubtries were governed at much smaller levels, maybe it might be possible, but it could end up getting smaller and smaller until everyone governs themselves...so umm, quite difficult.

but king jigme singye wangchuck of bhutan apparently got pretty close (i don't live there, so i wouldn't really know), they even measure 'gross national happiness'. but bhutan is a fairly small and fairly poor country, and 600,000 people are easier to govern than 60 million.

take care

Define "right."

Every country is made up of people.

Show me a time when everyone in the same room agrees 100% with anything.

Countries are run to appease the majority of the population, or they are run with iron rule where no one dares disagree.

So, no a country can never be run 100% right because someone will always think they are doing things wrong, no matter what.

g-day!

YES - No person is capable of making the correct decision all the time. Some are better than others but none are any better than the information they have available to make decisions with. The best leader or manager is no better than the information he/she has available to them. Bad information leads to bad decisions; good information leads to better decisions. But then there are those who elect to use only that information that suits their intent and either ignores the rest or twists the rest and we end up in bad situations like a war, an out of control national debt, borrowing money from foreign governments; sound familiar? Oh, and then there are those who make decisions without reading intelligent reports than complain later they were mislead – kind of like Hillary and her vote to go to war (by her own admission she voted on the war without reading the intelligent reports)!

In a democracy, anyone can run for the office of President. It is the law. Exactly how qualified a person should be in order to be President doesn't matter with respect to the law. If the people decided to elect Ronald Reagan, as an example, this man would be President.

There are many people now, whose name is being suggested. Are they qualified to be our next President in terms of ability, education, and experience?

Iraq looms as the big issue and anyone without foreign policy experience, hands on experience, should be ruled out (my opinion). I try to be fair and impartial. I do not side for one party over the other. For me in my job, it is very important for me to do this.

If any of you played competitive sports, you would know that teaching principles and putting a player out on the field for the first time and expecting him to perform without actual game day experience is dreaming. The same rule applies to politicians.

What looms very big is the Iraq War and the next President's experience and success at foreign policy.

Success is measured in actual terms and not by party affiliation.

Can a nobody ever run a country right? George W. Bush had no experience at the Presidential level, when he became President. So, you should and can use him as a guide and measure.

Yours,

Yes, I do. Because what is 100% right to you could be 100% wrong to me. That is why we must pay attention to what candidates say and do before the elections. Not one person is perfect, the decisions a leader makes will reflect his personal choices, party politics, and some of the other outside influences in his life.

What is "right"? You and I may have one opinion while everyone else has another opinion about what they consider the right way to run a country. No leader can ever please everyone so there will always be some people saying he/she is not doing the right job. The other thing to remember is that we are all human and no human is perfect. So I think the answer to your question is no.

That would be correct.

It would be a fantasy orwellian world if everyone was happy. Everyone of course has their PERSONAL opnions and objections to everything. It would be impossible to conquer political standpoints to cater every person.

But that is exactly why democracies are elections are so wonderful. If you dont like the person running currently, pick another to replace the bastard, *cough bush cough*

You cannot have your cake and eat it too.

There will always be differences of opinion on how a government should be run.

What may be important to me may not have as much importance to you.

So with varying degrees of opinions and needs, it would be impossible to make everyone happy.
