Of course the earth is always spinning in the same direction while orbiting the sun. If an observer is standing on the east coast of the USA (say Maine) during the early morning hours the 'coast' is spinning toward the sun (which rises). In the evening the 'coast' is spinning away from the sun (which sets). At 'high' noon the earth has spun to a position with the sun directly overhead. The earth does all the work while the sun merely looks on and beams.

Because the earth's rotation is from east to west towards the sun. The planets Uranus and Venus rotate from west to east towards the sun and thus, on these planets the sun rises from the west and sets in the east.

Since earth is rotating from west to east,it gives us an illusion that sun is rising in the east and sets in the west

Sun is neither rising nor setting. It is at its fixed position. Due to rotation of earth, the side which faces the sun is called East or sun rising and the side opposite is west,

The Sun does not rise or sets. It only appears that way. The reason is the phenomena of relative motion. It is the earth that is moving and is spining. Therefore the relative motion of the Sun east to west indicates that the Earth is spining counterclockwise relative to the ecliptic.Hence the Earth rotates from west to east.

this is just like who came first ?the hen or the egg.....[just kidding]
well, the earth revolves around the sun actually we think that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west..
but due to the rotation of the earth day and night are there...
eg.suppose there is sunrise in california that means it is morning there...the has risen in the east.....
and when the earth rotates that means it is evening and the oppsite side to the east is west........so the sun sets in the west.....and rises in the east........

First sun does not move much in ones life time. The Earth spins once every twenty-four hour, which at USA Europe latitude gives effect of sun rising daily. Magnetic North is caused by Earth's molten center. Don't know who found magenitic North and invented compus; thusly creating East and West, but had someone else, then who knows name given to direction sun appears to rise.

because the earth is round and sun never rise or sets its the earth is moving to ward east so you ask better that why earth is moving to east side and the answer is that it is very comfortable to move east side than west

Because humans have decided collectively to name the direction of the earth's rotation from east to west. if we changed the names to fart and knocker, the sun would rise in the fart and set in the knocker. kidding aside, the earth spins. like a top, and the sun remains relatively still.

Because the sun seem to appear at the horizon in one paticular direction we have named as East every morning in relation to the earth. the sun is not really moving across he sky of the earth as it looks to be .It is the spin of he earth on its own axis that exposes evey point on the eath in succession that make the sun appear toe be movig across the sky over the earth. As the earth runs / orbits around the sun at the speed of about 67000 miles per hour and the sun being in he middle the sun appeas to be in the same direction in relation to the earth that is going around the sun.but in reality as he earth is speeding around he /sun , the direction of the eath from the sun is continuously changing as the earth moves along every degree of the its orbit around the sun.It is just like any marked point on the rim of a wheel that is rotating around its axle/hub changing its location as the wheel spins around the hub . the location of th epoint is not the same all he time as the wheel continues to spin .so in relation to any oher object of refence in space , the direction of the sun from the earth or of the earth from the sun is not the same all the time and that it continues to be changing ...
