I did until I discovered the Ziploc cups that have lids with a straw-spot and drink-spot....! I used to check for the usual (flies, air-borne fuzzies etc) but one day I caught my CAT drinking from it - which you'd never see after the fact unless he left fur behind - so ever since then I ONLY drink from cups with lids or cups that have never left my sight. When I KNOW it's been capped I don't have to worry about what got in.

Call me neurotic!!

Lol a lot of the time I actually do it's like a habbit to check there isn't anything in their except the drink I wanted lol...

generally yes.....but thats why i drink out of clear cups

or you put heaps and heaps of salt in someones drink and they get real sick cause they cant see it :D
