How do you fix a warped section of a wood dining table after some moisture was left on for some time?

I accidently left a plastic bag ontop of the table for sometime and just recently removed it and noticed a large area of warped wood. The table is butcher block. Is there a way I can fix it?

We need to know how thick is the table top ?? then we can answer your ?? there are many ways to do it

Is it Butcher Block Veneer? OR solid?

Certainly you can sand it flush and refinish. Curious however that and REAL Butcher Block Hardwood, would do that.
