With some computers, this information is not specified in "properties" - only the capacity of the HDD
If this is the case for you, look under "My Computer"
"System Tasks" 'View system information'

If you just want to know what RAM you have: Right click on My Computer > Properties - in the General tab at the bottom it will say how much memory you have.

Are you using a desktop or laptop?

If its a desktop just open the side and look for long slots with thin cards.

If its a laptop then there should be a compartment that you can open on the bottom (usually) of it. You can usually find which one it is by looking in the manual/looking for the info online.
They should be something like this: http://www.computerlaptopmemory.com/laptop-memory.jpg
(Sorry if the links go dead or something, just searched on google)

I don't think you can except by opening up the case and reading the type and model number on the sticks.
