I remember a movie released in '97 or something, about this father in prison - he made a break for it, and tried to escape cross-country with his youngish teenage girl and younger boy, but got caught in the end. They met their gradma in Reno, and also took a "houseboat" on a scenic river later in the movie. Sound familiar at all? The main actor (the "dad") looked a lot like the actor in Overboard, but not the same actor (at least, I think).

Patrick Swayze is the father, Sabrina Lloyd the older daughter, and Brian Bonsall as the son.. also has Halle Barry as the foster care worker.

yes i no the film now when they go cross country and meet the zombies from hell the grandma gets it hard the movies called (ur grandma got it hard)
