In an apt the tubs glazing has big area coming off requiring a new glazing The apt's give many health warnings as to how long to stay out and turning off all computers as the fans may be absorbing fumes etc has me wondering if its worth ithe risk Normally its done when in empty units.

thanks for the experience sharing-I wont be doing it the maintennce staff will be and we are required to be out of the unit for like 6-8hrs So we'll prob end up doing it as we cant use that shower until its done since water was getting underneath the coating

I have been doing this for years, using the re glaze from Home Depot with no ill results. Of course you have to use a mask, good ventilation for fumes, it's no worse then painting.
There's dust from sanding, it has some fumes along with the dust.
I don't know about computers and "absorbing funs from the fans" sort of thing. I think some people go to far with these warnings, just like asbestos. I worked with it for fifteen years without a mask, the air was so thick with dust you couldn't see. I think today, some are going to far to make a buck but, that's their story.

Glaze with reasonable fans and ventilation and you shouldn't have to worry.
