Gonna have a look for toe socks and Tabi socks. I agree they are gross but try explaining to a 4-year old that flip-flops really ain't autumnal shoewear!

I'm not sure about the chinese ones, but I know you can buy toe socks that work great with flip flops. Those are for all your toes, not just the big one.
