I've been perimenopausal for what seems like forever and I was wondering if anyone else ever gets the symptom of having their cheeks feel like they are on fire....not a hot flash...I get those enough to know the difference. I ask people if my face is red and am always told no. Just wondering....

your having hot flashes, I have had chemo and it put me into menopause. I know what your are talking about. I'm on an anti-depressant to help with the hot flashes and sweats. But there is a herb that you can get a the pharmacy that will help with these hot flashes unless you want to go to the Dr and get hormones.I'm not able to take this herb because of the the treatments that I'm taking but Ill give you the name of this if you"d like to see if it will help. Its called black cohosh 540 mg menopausal balance. It will take a few days for you to feel any effects. Hope it does you some good. Mean while stick your head in the freezer, I told my oncologist this and he just laughed.

I'v heard of something like this related to a condition called Burning Mouth Syndrome (it can cause pain in the cheek area too). Also, something could be going on with the nerves in that area. I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.
