I was wondering if anyone thinks the 18th and 21st amendment should be removed from the Constitution?

Can they be removed?

Do they represent a lesson to us about banning personal choices?

Answers pointing towards a Constitutional Amendment are referred! Thanks!

Answer: No to removal…as already noted.
Now as how I see the why…It is the difference between the living document crowd, and the Jefferson, interpret it as it was debated (Original Intent) philosophy.
Take another example…While being debated the 14th- Amendment was repeatedly explained as an effort to incorporate the then “current” residents (see black…African decent people) and no others that arrive after passage of the Amendment…
The living document crowd distorts that effort to what “THEY” want it to mean today.
The original intent philosophy remembers the “No Others” reason that the effort passed in the first place and remains faithful to…The Original Intent.
Leave the original so as the reasoning and logic of the change will not be lost on future generations.

Once an amendment is in the constitution, it's there forever and can only be overridden by another amendment. As for removing the 18th and 21st amendments, why would you want to do that? The fact that they are there serves as a reminder that the Constitution should not be filled up with passing fad amendments

No. Once the Constitution is amended, the change is written in stone. An amendment can be repealed, but never removed. It remains a part of our history.

It specifically states in the Constitution that Amendments may not be removed.

They may be overridden by other amendments, but not removed.
