First of all. the "right time". is when you get married. dont let anyone tell you otherwise. both me and my wife waited. and it was one of the best things i ever done. it may not seem like it going into it. but when you look back, you will realize how much better your relationship with your girl is becaouse you chose to wait.

as for your carrear. anything you do that you enjoy and feel succesfull is a good carrear. as for being a pilot. pilots tend to make a very good ammount of money. moneywise you will be set for life. these are the things you need to find out and concider

being a pilot can keep you away from your family for periods of time.
being a pilot isent the easiest carrear to get into. (getting a job with a big airliner)
becomming a pilot is VERY easy to do.
once you do get a great job. i do believe there is good job securitity.

overall, it is a very good carrear to work twards and get into.

you may or may not make more or less money that your girl. that depends on your specific jobs. it will take much longer to become a doctor then to become a pilot.

flying is really feally freakin fun.

just dont blink and run into a building.

oh, and suiside bombers caint do it twice.

It takes a long time to become a professional commercial pilot where the really good money is. You have to log 2000 - 3000 flight hours. Plus, have excellent vision without correction. Flying cargo planes requires half that many flight hours. A pilot and a doctor..... well, if you don't mind not seeing much of each other then it could be a match.
