Conservative christian, white, and/or upper middle and upper class for republicans
Minimum wage, national health care, minority rights.
Cut government spending (not now), corporate rights, tax cuts

There are not strong splits on most factors, the two solid voting blocks are.
WHITE EVANGELICAL/BORN-AGAIN 70% republican 24% of vote
AFRICAN AMERICANS 89% democratic 10% of vote
The net effect of these two groups gives the republicans an edge of about 1.7% of the vote so if the rest of the population splits 50 50 they win.

Tell your teacher that they should be ashamed of themselves for trying to divide America into races, classes and other types of groups.
We are Americans, and we support whom we will.
That's what makes this country great. Usually only liberals are concerned about the superficial differences, and, though your teacher may not (yet) be guilty of this, liberals are almost always the first to play the race card.
