It has never been run worse, one hardly knows where to start.

I suppose that enforcing the law would do for a start, but first you would have to sweep out all the foxes in charge and at every level of the bureaucratic hen house, If he had been in the Whitehouse then, Bush would have put Al Capone in charge of the ATF.

Just rooting the Gang Of Pirates out of every level of government will take generations. When you put people who believe that only Business is pure and that Government has no job to do but open the path for corruption in charge of the government, that is what they will do,

We are now in the position of many third world countries ravaged and looted by corrupt regimes, that they spend all their energy just recovering the damaged infrastructure as their societies slip into the toilet, making them more vulnerable to more rounds of looting.

To just restore fiscal sanity will take ravaging taxes on the looters, who have mostly removed all their money from the country, leaving only crushing debt to those very same looters.

Already one fifth of every dollar taken in goes just to pay the interest on the national debt, and most of the rest is still going to hemorrhaging corruption, mostly in the Military, or rather Pentagon corruption before the Military even sees it.

Even the Military does not have sufficient infrastructure to operate without paying usurious rates to the leeches who looted it in the first place.

Restoring this country to levels enjoyed by Western European Democracies will not be achieved with the resources the world has left, just in Oil and such basics, or the cleaning of the mess of National Treasures looted and ruined, from wildlife areas to such mundane things as bridges, and buildings. Even our very roads are even now being sold off to those who will milk them dry and discard the husk without maintenance or expense beyond the minimum.

Unfortunately our choices are no longer how to make it better. Even "only a bit worse" is not in the running, we are now choosing between "a lot worse" and "a whole bunch worse than you can imagine".

That second choice has already been in charge for way too long.

Are any of us ever happy with the government. Hell No is the answer. Well you or I can't jump up on the pulpit and tell them how to run it. What I do suggest if you are truly interested is to be active in your community. Start with the kids, cub scouts, girl scouts. Move on....Be active in city or county meetings, even if you don't have to voice something at the meeting, your face is being seen and you begin to network. Then try a councilman's position. If you want to make a change you have to be involved. Just don't forget your grassroots.

No. I haven't been this unhappy about the way the county is being run since the Vietnam war. I can 't even stand to watch the news anymore. I can't see any way to make things better, and I think it is likely get worse no matter what we do.

Satisfied. We're doing just fine.

I would like to see an amendment to the constitution regarding freedom of the press. The media should be held to a legal standard rather than being given the freedom to destroy innocent lives for fun.

I am satisfied. The only thing I would recommend to make it better would be to try to educate all the liberals out there.
