The actor who portrayed Dumbledor is gay in real life; so I assume Rowlings blurted out the statement to spark some fan reaction--which she did. I do not believe the Dumbledor character is in any way gay.
After many years of going high speed, the Harry Potter profit machine is now slowing down, eventually to stop cold---which may prompt Rowling to take promotional stunt jabs to keep it alive as long as possible.
So it'll be interesting to see if Rowling can create a totally whole different novel story, featuring different characters---one worth reading.
Is Rowling a REAL novelist--or one who got very very lucky with the Potter book series????

The Wolf in Little Red Riding hood was definitely a cross dresser. He put on granny's nightie and cap if my memory serves me right.

Hmm ...
Well, how about Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz?
We all know she was after more than just the "silver slippers", if you catch my drift.
Anyone for cotton candy?

What does this characters sexual preference have to do with the story anyway. I think sexual preference is irrelevant unless your reading a romance novel.
