Why do you guys always want simplistic answers for complex problems? It's sad.
Turkey wants to raid Iraq because Kurdish rebels are hiding in Iraq and making cross-border raids into Turkey, killing civilians and soldiers.

Oh! and where is all of this oil, all you people that keep saying this. We are in Iraq or, haven't any of you noticed that so, where is all this oil?
The Turks and the Iraqi's have been fighting since the beginning of time for Pete's sake. Don't any of you know anything about world history?
They have been fighting a border war since time begun, over the mountain range that no man can even walk on the terrain is so rough. They sit and fire a volley of artillery fire at each other every after noon and then go to tea.
Now that the Americans are there, there's no one to fire back so, they think they can waltz in and take over, it's that simple. We're telling them, Oh no! your not going to pull that but, they're using that old line of your tell us we committed an atrocity 90 years ago so you'd better let us or your in trouble.
It's a double cross, we need there military bases and they need us for they're aide, millions a year in aide so, they think they have our backs to the wall, in a way, they do but, we have the same options. It's a catch 22.

Turkey wants to invade Iraq and put down the Kurds because the Kurds want a separate homeland. There are Kurds in Iraq, Turkey and Iran and all of these want to unite. Iran is also dealing with Kurdish rebels. It's not about oil, it is about culture.
