Well, i know boars are pretty small, and i was wondering if a boar can kill a human? i really doubt it, but can they severely injure me?

i'm going camping and some of the wildlife there is: boars, deers, raccoons, foxes, and bobcats. i'm more afraid of the little bobcats than i am the boars. i know for a fact that foxes aren't dangers but a boars? what's that like a piglets with small horns?

I would like a professional opinion not some dumb kid saying, "yya boars are dangers they are wild"

thanks, -_-

A boar most likely cannot kill a human directly but can incur severe injuries with massive bleeding which can lead to death if not managed promptly. But possibility is not far if you encounter an extremely wild and aggressive one.

Boars usually runs away from humans but they can be very dangerous once cornered or surprised. A female boar with her piglets can be extremely dangerous as well as it usually aggressively attacks anyone nearby to defend itself and its youngs. The male boar attacks with its tusks while the female boar bites. So be very careful and alert as you may not be able to use your shotgun once you are attacked.

Bobcats most likely will not attack humans without provocation but consider them dangerous as well. Bobcats usually predate smaller mammals but they sometimes kill deer too.

In general, once you are in the wild, any animal can be dangerous. A snake, a bee, an ant, etc. Just be very careful.

Piglet with small horns?

More like an animal that can reach up to 300 pounds with razor sharp tusks that can reach five inches long.

They can reach speeds up to 30 MPH in a short burst but can't keep going that fast.
I searched for the equation of a moving object hitting a stationary one.
If a 300 pound wild boar running at 30 MPH hit a stationary object, the force of the boar hitting that person/object is about 135,000 pounds.
That is a huge impact.

If you leave them alone, you should be fine.
A healthy boar will act much different than an injured or annoyed boar.
This is why hunters often see the aggressive side of these animals and hardly the normal temperament.
They have very thick hide, and if you shoot but miss or hit the wrong spot, you better RUN. Often times the only escape is up a tree, and then you have to wait for the boar to leave, because they actually will wait for you to get down.
This has happened to my boyfriend's dad a few times, back when they lived in Arkansas.

They are more likely attack during mating season or when its a female protecting her young.

Yes a boar can kill you but more likely hurt you severely. I wouldn't be as concerned with the bobcat as I am about the boar! Boars can come in various sizes and are ferocious little buggers. Both boar and bobcat can do serious injury though.

boars are very dangerous with those small horns. there razor sharp and could easily cut u, i think a boar would have to stab u for awhile for u to die, like with blood loss and stuff, but bobcats are so cute, so yeah if u see a boar.......eat it, it's like bacon

A wild boar is generally an inoffensive animal and avoids humans.
But if wounded or cornered he will severely attack anyone in sight which can prove fatal since the tusks can rip anyone apart.

By all means they can. Take it from me living in South Texas where we HUNT all the time. A pig either domestic or wild or a javelina can devour you. There have been people through history whom fell into PIG PENS and were eaten and killed. It is a very scary thing to get treed by a pig or pigs. They won't go away for a long time. They are very dangerous animals be very careful if you go hunting not to MESS with them. They are dirty and carry diseases also.

wild boars can actually be pretty big, about the size of a adult dog, and with horns. they can seriously hurt a human if it feels it's territory is being invaded.

Dude stay away from boars. They can chase you down and probably attack you if u provoke them. Btw, i had a rifle with me so i had no worries of a boar attack.
