Once you have the votes then you can just change it to something incredibly the opposite of your original answer and then people read it after you've gotten all the votes and say "WTF?"

I have realized I got a thumbs up when I went back to edit then I feel bad because they thumbed me up and I changed the answer.

I honestly never thought of that. Then again, if your answer was that good, why change it? You might get best answer. If not, what's the point?
