Sandy, you are a valued member of society. Thank you for your answer, and judgment of intelligence based on one particular question asked about a specific character everyone was ranting like crazy about for the past fifteen minutes. No, no really -- thank you. You may just win.

No, J. K. Rowling chose for Dumbledore to be gay.

That is a wild question.I am sure some of the thoughts the writer has about certain behaviors will spill over into the characters. That is the great thing about fictional writing. You can make the character have as much or as little of any emotion or behavior you want to.You know for once I'd like to see a movie about gay people with REAL gay actors and actresses in it instead of some pretending person. When I watched Harry Potter,I never had a thought of if anyone was gay or not. Those thoughts dont cross my mind when I watch things of that nature. So if Dumbledore was gay,he never let me see it.I do know that I make a concious choice to be gay.
Hugs!

I thought that there was definitely gay subtext between Dumbledore and Grindelwald.

Unfortunately, J.K. Rowling couldn't explicitly portray a male/male relationship in this day and age without making that the defining part of the book.

JK Rowling created Dumbledore and created him as being gay. LOL What a silly question.

"The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore"
by Rita Skeeter (AKA J.K. Rowling)

Who else would take a great, noble and beloved man and throw him to the wolves to further their own agenda.

She can speak all the lies she likes, but it won't change my opinion of this extraordinary man.
