hi my norton seems to be blocking pages loading how can i check what is blocking and stop it hellllllllllp

Right click on it and disable it. Then unistall it and install AVG you can get it free from download.com, the from download.com get spybot S&D. With avg and spybot there is no need for anything else and you should find your pc is faster.

Hello,
(ANS) Goto your Norton Anti Virus program and open it from the desktop or programs menu. Next inside Norton see the section that allows you to configure the program i.e. the settings page. I'm guessing that Norton is set up to block incoming and outgoing internet access for some reason. Here you need to allow access to the internet for the following services.
Allow HTTP (normal web surfing) also HTTPS (secure web surfing i.e. internet shopping etc)
Allow FTP (file transfer protocol)
Allow POP3 and SMTP (email both incoming & outgoing)
**Also IRC if you use this or messenger service if you use that?
**This problem is definitely related to Norton AV settings and how this affects incoming & outgoing internet traffic and your firewall too possibly.

Norton is probably the worst AV program on the market. You got is automatically when buying Windows: they have a contract with Microsoft.
It costs you a fair bit, and is totally useless. (it even checks your files if you are OFF-LINE!).
Follow the advices above: REMOVE NORTON!
After, install any other one (or none).
