Ok just hear me out and give me a chance.
I was vegetarian for 3 years straight. And recently ive been diagnosed with a severe depression and anxiety and all this other stuffz. my well trusted doctor told me its most likely becuz of my diet. so after going un-vegan with little too no effect i decided too just try eatin meat again for a little.
and i feel heaps better. i just feel so good and happy.
And at the same time guilty. but i know that eating meat is like saving my brain and soul! arhhhh.

No,there are plenty of things you could've done on your diet. You might have been low in B-12,you could've been deficient in iron,or you probably might have not even been consuming enough calories. If I had any problems I would go see a dietitian, not a doctor, most doctors have no education in nutrition. The only people who I think can't handle a vegetarian diet are people with cystic fibrosis.

edit:I don't know the whole story so I can't really say.I know there are junk food vegans that wonder why they felt like sh*t on a vegan diet, you can't expect to be healthy unless your eating predominantly healthy foods.Like I said I earlier if I had any problems I would go see a dietitian that specializes in veg diets, like Vesanto Melina.

Like someone else mentioned,it might be physcological.Alot of people who go on diets get depressed because it can be hard. It's not hard for me to be vegan, but my family does make it difficult sometimes. Maybe you just felt like an outcast or something,I know my family makes me feel that way.Meat eating is so ingrained in American culture that you probably did feel isolated,I'm the only vegan I know.

I seriously don't see what meat can have to do with your brain??? It is 100% psychological. If eating meat makes you happy, then by all means, eat it. But personally, I think your theory is hog-wash....And not all Doctors are right. Some are outright dumb or ignorant. Your diet could have been deficient in some areas too. B12 etc. Coke and fries are vegan too...
By your definition, millions, upon millions of Veg*n around the world suffer your symptoms...Food for thought. Not.

PROTEIN AS A PART OF ANYONES DIET MIGHT BE A GOOD IDEA SOMETIMES ATLEAST !! Not always good to have alot or mostly meats !! Eat PLENTY of veggies with your meats !! & drink LOTS of at times HOT OR WARM water !! to help break some of that not sOo good for the system/tract- down !! ad rest properly !! Or for the most-part

Hi youg soul eat whatever you like, if your body needs extra fat no harms in taking any food. In your case you need extra fat and iron food, your question is how your body digest that food. On reading your case, you need a digonistic check for your shortcomming. If you do little excercise of your stomech by doing some yogas, Your system will start accepting the available nutrients from food

idk.... i think it depends on your personal choice. i don't think you should feel guilty about it. just like choosing to be a VEG is somewhat a health chioce, if you have to eat meat to be healthy... then go for it.

I've been a VEG almost 15 years. No meat of any kind. IDK how you didnt get sick from eating it again after 3 years. did you still eat some meat? I know, that if i ate meat now, after not eating it for so long, i'd get violently ill and prolly have to be hospitalised. But it's because i'm no longer immune to the toxins in it. I also don't want to eat meat, though i will admit, i'm not eating as healthy as i used to, which will affect your health. i eat as much a toddler. which is sad, but that's another issue.
anyways, i say, if you need to eat it, to be healthy then go ahead. if other VEGs judge you because of your deciding to eat meat again, then screw them, they're just being dumb. And ignore them.
♥hugs♥

Guilty?

You do know that half the animals on this planet eat other animals right?

Our teeth indicate we are omnivores.

So if you want to be a vegetarian fine, but anyone who eats vegetarian on a MORAL basis has a profound misunderstanding of biology.

if you feel better eating the meat, you should eat it, don't feel bad midge, there are lots and lots of animals, and you are saving them from other horrible deaths, and possibly even extinction because of over population!

hope this made ya feel better about it anyway!
I love animals, but, i don't see how eating meat is cruelty,
microwaving a live cat, now that is different :)

the best vegans and veggie lovers dont impose their beliefs on other people so if you cant handle being one then it should be okay, dont feel bad about it unless you really care about the animals in which case there is more you can do than just not eat meat, u can be an activist or something
