You have everything you need to use Wi-Fi for connection; they will tell you in advance if you need to pay extra and what method of authentication they use, likely RADIUS not simple WEP/WPA.

Say you go into a place that offers Wi- fi.

You sit down, get your coffee, etc. When you open your laptop, you want to look at 'Available Wireless Networks'. Which will be under a small menu when you right click on the internet connection symbol in your taskbar. [next to the clock]

Choose the one that looks like it belongs to the place you are in. Then press connect!

Wi-Fi is like a LAN but it covers a larger area about 100m and yes you would be able to use internet through your Wi FI connection .

If you are running Windows, go to your wireless connections and it should automatically appear as an open connection. You click on Motel 6's connection and click connect. Bango, you ahve internet ;)

Yes, it should be the same. When you start up the computer should find the router and ask if you'd like to connect.

usually windows will detect the network, but if SSID is off on the router, then you will have to ask for all the setup specs at the front counter.
