My car is doing my head in! I have had it in the garage twice now. I have had the fuel filter changed then the pipes blown through. It is a chrysler voyager LS. As soon as i get to half a tank of petrol it starts to lose power then stops . If you wait a while it goes again for a bit. Also a couple of times, after it has conked out, the exhaust has blown back. Please someone give me a clue to whats wrong? I cant afford a new car as i have 5 kids and 15 weeks pregnant with my 6th and i need my car as two of my kids have problems so i need it for hospital appointments. I cant keep shelling out money and its still not right. Thanks

I am assuming

this only happens when you get a half a tank of petrol it starts to lose power then stops ?
-------------
if this happens anytime no matter how full the tanks is then its not getting enough air

check air filter and choke switch (relay)

When the engine stalls, do you get any error codes or check engine light? Take the voyager to autozone and have them run the codes for you. They will do it for free. They should also be able to tell you what parts are usually wrong or broken.

You may want to try another mechanic.

good luck

I would take it to another mechanic. It may just need ajustment to the fuel, or there may be dirt in the fuel that blocks up every so often.
