No mini-skirts and no low cut or belly baring tops. Some churches do allow jeans. Use COMMON SENSE.
You will do just fine.

Trust me, I've had many a faux pas but I have learned from my mistakes. I attend a church where a lot of girls wear skirts that are above the knee and so forth, people wear pajama pants and sweats...
I would say that it depends on the church. Most churches, you will be able to get by with a short-sleeved or sleeveless blouse (cleavage is something that should be hidden, of course) and dress slacks or a skirt. When going for a skirt, knee-length is the shortest you should go. Also don't go heavy on the makeup.

You dont need to try to be trendy, sexy, or cute at church. You are there to strengthen your relationship with God, and He sees whats inside, not outside. However, out of respect for those around you, you should dress tasteful in church. Not too much skin showing, no short skirts. Remember that the attention should be on God, not on you. As far as how that translates to what specific garments to wear (ie: jeans or khakies, t-shirt or dressy shirt, etc), just take cues from those around you, or if you are very concerned about it, ask your pastor/priest.

What is appropriate for ANY woman to wear to church is something that is not too short, not too low cut and tasteful.
Church is a place to honor God, keep that in mind.

How "formal" is the church? Baptist? they oftentimes like a woman to gown conservatively, and in a gown, as long as you gown conservatively, clean outfits, you will be ok i flow to a church it is fairly casual. No "dressing up" in that church. denims and a maximum suitable are good-cooservative-yet mushy. a snug pants outfit could be ok. in case you comprehend somebody who is going to the church you like to attend, ask that guy or woman earlier than time with regard to the gown code, if any. incredibly, God seems on the middle of the guy, no longer who makes the main suitable "vogue assertion". desire this helps you. Take care.

well this would mostly depend on what kind of church your going to. but i would say a nice neutral colored dress would be fine. make sure that it is not short. but if you don't want to go the dress route then a nice pair of women's slacks and a dress shirt would be good also
