i got 53 points on a chem midterm. the maximum is 63 points. Im pretty sure that the professor will curve the exam. here are the following results from the mid term.
Mean: 50.18
Median: 51.00

so am i doing good then? i hoping to get an A on the exam will this be possible?

On a true curve (median and mean around 50) you have a C but I doubt he'll do that in his curving - most don't.

Based on this, you're doing very slightly better than the average student in your class.

As a percentage of possibility (53/63) - you scored a 84, solid B on most college scales.

You'll need a little more push for the A but so does everyone else in the class.

You're alright, but not great. Sounds to me like a high B. But it depends on how generous your teacher is.
