He may take a year off, or go back to broadcasting, but he should be back soon. I highly doubt he'll get $8 million a year, but hopefully a place where they will treat him like a human being.

i dont think he is done. Look at Casey Stengall, Sparky Anderson, most recently Jack McKeon and Jim Leyland. They were all past 70 when they retired from baseball. Joe Torre is only 67. Like a lot of people say he might get a job with ESPN as an analyst or even broadcaster. If he does go back to the field i think it will be with Mets. He is a New York guy and he had his most success right there in New York as a player, coach and manager. He was run out of St. Louis so I doubt he goes back there. I think Girardi or Mattingly get the job with the Yankees. But Torre will manage again. Im a Texas Rangers fan so its a very long shot that he would ever manage in Texas. but hey i can dream.

I think that he might consider retring, but who knows he might taking another coaching job somehwere, I don't know where. Right now he is 67 years old, and even Lou Piniella, who is 3 years younger then Joe Torre has said that the Chicago Cubs will be his last job as a manger. And Lou has even expressed no interest in the New York Yankees' vancy, and even he was a manger of the Yankees, he wants to end to end his mangerial carrier with the Chicago Cubs. So who knows Joe Torre might do the same thing.

I don't think that he'll retire. I think he would be great coaching the Angels. They are a team that always gave the Yanks a run for their money and I think Joe would do good in Cali.

I think he is insulted and wants to get back at the Yankees now. They wrote that he didnt even go back to the stadium to clean out his desk he is so bitter.
he will be back, probably with a rival, maybe with the Mets or the Red Sox, I really think the Yanks want Randolph as manager, and if the Mets struggle at all next year he will get fired the Yanks will hire him, and the Mets will rehire Torre

I hope he manages another team and it beats the yankees out of the play offs.
They should have showed him more respect. They are the team with the least class when it comes to the owners and people like that.

No, I don't think that he will retire. I think he will stay in baseball and manage another team. As to which one I'm not sure.
