we are in the process of selling our home, but our back yard is awful. it is very patchy and we need to find grass to get to growing fast and spread !! someone told my husband to use rye grass. what is the best and fastest for quick coverage? HELP SOON !!!!!!!!!!!

It really depends on your location and growing conditions. Your best is go to the local garden center and as a rule any of them that say " Quick Grass"
will usually be up in a few days. Just make sure to keep it covered and well watered to get it going. Don't let it dry out while germinating.

rye is going to germinate in about 3 days. It is your best bet.
you can go to the Scott's web site and see what they recommend for your area

Yep, it is. Annual grass grows quickly; just doesn't return for following year.
