It's rare but it's happened to me. I've had dreams where I'm being chased or fighting with someone and then the next thing I know the person who is scaring me and I are laughing and joking or working together and acting completely normal.

I've had something similar to that, but much stranger. When I was young I had a nightmare that a monster was chasing me, and half way through the nightmare I realized that I was dreaming. I then was able to continue with the dream knowing that I was dreaming, and that I actually was asleep. I ended up letting the monster catch me and at that instant I woke up. It was really weird, but kind of neat because it was like I was playing in a video game or something.

Yes - many times, once in particular. My nightmare had me trapped in a house with glass walls and I was desperate to get free but worried that if I smashed the glass I would be cut, all of a sudden a spider the size of a large man crawled down into the room, which scared me more, then it changed into my nan, and I ran into her arms. She took me out into a garden and all was lovely!

Yep - was very cool. Have on a couple of occasions been able to deliberately leave nightmares by realising what they were!!!

Yes I have, it usually ends with me waking up or it moving onto something else in the dream.
