here is my hypothesis: water with sugar dissolved in it evaporates more slowly than fresh water.(the more sugar the slower the evaporation) how could i test this experiment?(procedure)please give in good detail;]thankyou

Take a few small beakers, no 1 to 5 say. Fill no.1 with water to say 50 cm cubed. no. 2 with 50 cm cubed water plus 5 grams sugar, no. 2 with 50 cm cubed water plus 10 grams sugar etc. .....

Put each in turn on a (weighing) balance and record the mass over some time (hours?)

1. Which one has the least change in mass?

2. Which has the greatest change in mass?

Answer to 1 : the slowest evaporation.

Answer to 2 : the fastest evaporation.
