Heck I've had answers picked that were exactly the same and after the original one. Never figured out why. Not that I wasn't grateful or anything.

Yep! And it's happened with other people too, like when I answered a question that was just like someone else's, they got the best answer even though I said the same thing. And it'd be funny if it'd be the same situation in this question :P
