No it is a first world country, that terminology about countries came from the communist era of the ussr where western democracies were 1st world, communist countries were 2nd world and developing nations were 3rd world, since the uk is a fully developed nation it is not a third world country

Some of our so called esteemed friends seem to be under that impression, but, if that impression is correct why then, do hundreds /nay thousands of immigrants travel over many other countries to get here these unfortunate people leave what they know are third world countries/living conditions, it does not make sense they leave one to come to another third world country

If the Kyoto restrictions are enforced here, it will become like a third world economy, while China and India who are exempt, will become the economic powers of the world.
I don't think our children and grandchildren in first world will thank us for disabling our economies and condemning them to lives of unemployment and poverty

Parts of the UK are no different than the Congo, Angola, or Detroit for that matter. The USA is not the golden city that you believe it to be; hence the entire question is flawed from the get go.

It will be if they don't stop their liberal immigration policies. Why is it Europe can't seem to see that the plan is take-over by population from these 10th world countries? They made a weak attempt here in the U.S in Detroit and a few other places but the Mexicans are beating them to it.

Only in that the government, like many third world countries, is s democratic sham and does not take the peoples wishes into account even after making promises during elections. I am surprised that Brown is not going to see Mugabe to find out how to convert into a one party state like he runs.

I'd like to think so!!! LOL!!! Just kidding..... I just couldn't resist!!!! Third World?!!! Really!!!
A Third World Country would be a country that really could not fend for themselves......a poor country for instance like Ethiopia. Third World meaning not very civilized........I don't think the King's and Queen's of England would like your question!
