Im On my New Computer Now. but I want wanting to fix up my old computer to use as a backup. When I plug my computer in and turn it on the power button turns yellow automatically. and I also cant hear the hard drive kick on. What do you think could be wrong with my computer

my friend suggested the power supply could be bad or the hard drive

any suggestions??

I know the computers not in stand by mode because you can wiggle the mouse and push all the keys you want on the keyboard and it still doesnt work.

I'm not to good with the actual hardware of computers but I will give my best guesses.
1. Maybe the bios is messed up
2. It may be the power thing
3. Don't think it could be the hard drive
4. If it were in stand by I think it would quit out when the power is unplugged or you hold the power button, and if its hibernating then you would just hit the power button, probably neither of those.

You say you want to "fix it up."
How was it working the last time you used it?
