..Maybe not
The exertion of dark matter on the universe, in-conjunction with gravity
compresses matter until, the matter starts warming up..compressing, becoming denser....
At a certain threshold...it ignites, burns, blows up, redistributes, recombines, or just gets smashed into something else
70 percent of what is out there we can't identify
But we see it's influence
There is a constant recycling of matter/energy
Light springs forth from this redistribution

Darkness is always in domination in this universe .Only a small ray of light is enough to expel the darkness .The darkness is the ignorance and light is the wisdom.Let the wisdom in and the ages of darkness is out.

I believe so because the Sun will definitely die after billions of years being used. Darkness will then prevail over brightness.
Therefore, i definitely agree with your assumption.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day!

Difficult to see ( hehehehehe ) how 'Darkness' could 'win' anything, it isn't anything.

As in, there is no such 'thing' as 'darkness', in the same way there is no such 'thing' as 'cold'.

'Cold' is merely the absence of heat.

'Darkness' is merely the absence of 'Light'.

Now, someone explain to me how the absence of something can 'win' anything ?

And how will it celebrate it's accomplishment ?

It's all about 'contrast' people, we adore the contrast between 'Light' and 'No-Light', we even have knobs on our televisions to allow us to turn the 'Contrast' up and down ! :-)))

For the mock-scientists amongst you who want to tell me about 'Suns' extinguishing, remember that this Universe of Relative 'Time/Space' is expanding, and that there are many times more stars being born than are dying. The 'Light' is increasing exponentially. Furthermore this realm is just one of countless realms of manifestation, sp there is no 'danger' of us ever running out of 'Light'. :-)))

This is a question whose answer only God knows. But while we can still see each other in the light,..let's leave the universe on its own track to whatever shade it is destined to be.

darkness has its own sad stories....there is a legend talk about where darkness came from....in ancient time, there only bright and sunny in world...no dark at all.....everything seem fine and alright....later on....there is dispute between gods among themselves....then there is war...and it seperated into day and night, bright and dark!!!! actually they are come from the same world!! and at that time, god and human being live together...after war...all the gods left human being behind...that is what you see now...above top is heaven, centre is human world, bottom is hell..........

I reckon so. But until then, there's a lot of wonderful things available while the light shines. And there'd be more, and probably longer, if people were not so damned stupid. Ho hum.
