Okay so, next Saturday, the local theater is hosting a Rocky Horror screening. And not only have I only ever seen the move once, but I totally do not know how to dress up.

Also, any lists of audience participation parts and song lyrics would be very, VERY helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Is it acceptable for me to go as Frank? Since, I'm a girl and all?

The Rocky Horror Picture Show rocks and you will have a blast! Unfortunately, I do not have the audience participation parts, but when I went once, I took the following props as I can remember as it has been years since I went: I remember taking rice for the wedding scene and toilet paper for some reason. Even if you do not take the props, you will have a blast dressing up and singing/dancing along with the movie. I went as Magenta (the maid) and had an incredible time. You could go as Frankenfurter as long as you wear some sort of lingerie. My best male and female friends went as Janet and Brad in underwear and Dr's lab coats (when they witnessed the "birth" of Rocky). You could also go as a Transylvanian wearing all black. Magenta is an easy costume as it is like a French maid. Just have fun and rock it out as the RHPS is an experience in its own right! Just remember the Time Warp: it's just a jump to the left and then a step to the right. Put your hands on your hips and pull your knees in tight. You do the pelvic thurst. Something, something, insane. Let's do the Time Warp again. Rent the movie to get a real feel of the characters if you have not done so. You will have a really good time, I promise!

Anyone can go as any character.. no issues with gender.. and his is one of the easier ones to do if you've got the guts..

Anything that looks even close to these... if you want to feel less.. em.. vulnerable.. toss in an over-sized black leather jacket..

And here is a GREAT site ..

That should help..
