I tried it, a teaspoon of bleach diluted in water. It doesn't work, and it can give you a chemical burn on your skin.

A cheap way to cure it is to just go to Walgreens or any pharmacy and go get a tube of miconazole for $8. That's the generic, the brand name would be Monistat 3. It uses the exact same solution the doctor's creams have, but in a 4% solution instead of a 2%, and it does work. Put the cream on two to three times a day, and it'll clear up the ringworm in about a month. Usually it's a 2 month treatment with the other type.

OK dear person. The answer absolutely is a big NO! Even though bleach smells like it should kill anything alive, it doesn't. It is great in swimming pools, fountains, toilets and all that stuff, but the FUNGUS of ringworm eats bleach for breakfast. The mom and dad fungi do this to the kid fungi because people keep using bleach on them.

Sooooo. Go to the friendly pharmacy and buy any of the great antifungal medicines (not tolnaftate) and put a LITTLE bit on JUST BEFORE BED TIME and keep doing that for a couple of weeks. Probably in four days the critters will be dead, but you won't really see much improvement for one week. Our immune system seems to only minimally react to them for some reason.

The other choice that you have is go to your doctor and pay $90 and get a $50 Rx that will do the same.

I have heard of that practice, but no it's not proper medical treatment. Bleach is very caustic and will cause chemical burns.

Ringworm is caused by a fungus, so antifungal creams work very well. Lamisil, Tinactin, and Lotrimin are all effective against ringworm and available over the counter.

Ringworm is a fungal infection. Get an over the counter antifungal cream or spray and use it as directed on the area. The same things for athlete's foot work for ringworm.

I've heard of it but I've never done it. Just go buy some BlueStar ointment that is kind of expensive but it works.
