When I ask this question, im not talking about the race. I mean the discovery of the world, with Christopher Columbus, how do you think the Natives felt about this "discovery"?

I love people of color and culture. I appreciate the knowledge they have and the things I cant get from them. I've not travel aboard, but have been thru out the USA. I have found that Native Americans are beautiful people.

since columbus was lost and actually thought he had arived in india we cant say he discovered much of anything that first time around except the americas islands, later the bigger place we call America.
I admire deeply the native peoples of the North American Continent.
But if they had known what an enemy they had made friends with some of whom could have been my ancestors well Iam sure they would have given him directions to another place perhaps 6 feet under.

I like all the customs and the way they treated the Earth and all that stuff. Plus they have those shamans and they do those dances to produce rain, bring up spirits, and old relatives. Stuff like that is fascinating. I am not really proud of how our settlers treated them, one day when there is no longer fish in the ocean and the forest stripped of trees, when we pollute the air, when the Earth is finally ruined maybe we will realize that we should be more like Natives.

they were the people that first liven in the new world before their land and pride were stripped away from the british. The were a proud race, and protected the land. What they took from it, they gave back in some way.

Well I am native american and I have mixed feelings. I grew up learning all the traditional ways but for the life of me I can't date my same race! I have tried but I still can't get the bad natives out of my mind who drink, homeless and do other things that I don't agree with, I mean I know thare are problems in every race but I still prefer balck men over natives.

I am First Nations, I like myself and ALL people. I don't discriminate, obviously you do. All people are God's creation and we should not be racist. You seem to expect people to really put First Nations down in a Parental Guidance kind of way, would you?

They have fascinating history, legendary stories passed from generation to generation, they are tightly knit communities that care for one another, and everything they do has meaning.

I think they should be referred to as Pre-European Americans. Since they migrated from Asia they aren't really natives of North America - they just happened to be here before the Europeans showed up.
