i know that once i lose you forever then i'm honestly going to give up...sad but true

It depends on the situation. If school is too hard, you don't give up, because you'll never get anywhere without school now days. If you're dating a fella that calls you names and hits on you, it's way past time to give up on the relationship, & stop being his punching bag. If you really want to be a singer in a rock & roll band, & everyone tells you you sound like poop, it's time to give it up. If your kid keeps screwing up, making you madder than hades, you don't give up on him. It might be time to get him help, lock him up, or find out why he's acting out, but you don't give up on him. You see, there's a time and a place for giving up. You just have to weigh your options and take a step back...look at the big picture. If you keep beating a dead horse, it doesn't ever get up, and it doesn't do you any good either. It's then time to buy a new horse and move on. <*)))><

I'm wondering that myself. I'm in love with someone who is probably an impossibility, and I'm not sure how to give up, or if you ever can. :(

I think you should do it when you feel deep down that its the right thing to do....try to actually find within yourself what you feel is right and you'll have your answer...just trust your gut instinct and you'll be fine...
