Yes.

Scientific researchers who specialize in human sexuality have shown that homosexuality is linked to biology and genetics.

An October 2004 scientific research publication stated that scientists at the University of Padua have found that women tend to have more children when they inherit the same genetic factors linked to homosexuality in men. This fertility boost more than compensates for the lack of offspring fathered by gay men, and keeps the “gay” genetic factors in circulation.

A 2005 study reported genetic scans showing a clustering of the same genetic pattern among gay men on three chromosomes - chromosomes 7, 8, and 10. The regions on chromosome 7 and 8 were associated with male sexual orientation regardless of whether the man got them from his mother or father. The regions on chromosome 10 were only associated with male sexual orientation if they were inherited from the mother.

A study published in Human Genetics in February 2006 examined X chromosome inactivation in mothers of gay sons and mothers whose sons were not gay. Researchers found extreme differences between women who had gay sons and women who did not.

Another 2006 scientific study said that researchers have known for years that a man's likelihood of being gay rises with the number of older biological brothers, but the new study found that the so-called "fraternal birth order effect" persists even if gay men were raised away from their biological families. The older-brother effect was constant regardless of whether the men were raised with natural, adopted or stepbrothers. It also didn't matter if they weren't raised with their biological mothers.

Ok let the expert explain this to you...
people are born either male or female but, being one gender doesnt determine your sexual oriantation, you could say that people are born with different sexual desires and prefrences. Gay is just a term, a label, a person is born a person, and everyone is different and likes different things. People are born with different desires and fates.
Love is love.
My belief is, a person can do anything they want, as long as its not hurting anyone else.

Kapish? :)

It is not a choice. Why would people choose to be ostracized, discriminated against, and to go against their natural feelings? Would you choose to be gay (for some reason), and deny yourself the love and attraction you feel towards the opposite sex? No. The only time it would conceivably be a choice is if they were bisexual already, and decided just not to act on their feelings towards the opposite sex for some reason.

Of course it affected by genetics, and of course its affected by the environment or events (for those who are not 100% straight or gay - just google the "kinsey scale" and you'll see what I mean). And of course affected by hormones in the womb or whatever. How could any of these things not have an influence.

But the answer is yes. People are born with an inbuilt tendency to be gay or bisexual, and they cannot deny or get rid of their sexuality. Just as straight people are inbuilt with their desires. Of course a baby is not 'sexual' as such but it certainly will grow to be, with or without society's influence. For example, imagine a kid who brought up with no societal influence (like no tv, sees no relationships between adults). You couldn't then wait for them to be a teenager, and expect them to be asexual or without some inbuilt preference for who to love.

Yes, all gay people were born gay. The church will try and tell you differently, but they lie all the time.

i cant say if men and women are "born" gay...i have a friend who first started dealing with his sexual preference when he was 14. its a choice and a feeling you have that just feels right to you. my friend is gay and i wouldnt change him one bit...its who he is and i love him no matter what.

blah blah blah blah stupid straight people
being straight is also your sexual preference so i guess when you were 15 you just decided you were going to be straight instead of gay
most gay people are born gay
i mean i guess if you were straight you could choose to be gay and if you were gay you could choose to be straight
but you will always be that way no matter how you cover it up or try to change yourself

Actually its not a choice or being born like that. By the time a person grows up he/she realizes that he/she likes boys or girls no matter what gender the person is
