How about Archimedes? Specific gravity, and the simple machines? Incline plane and lever for instance? Aristotle for the principle of investigation and elimination?

IMO, I don't think so but he's definitely one of the two fathers of Calculus which makes many physics discoveries and modern inventions possible.

Calculus was invented by Galileo and perfected by Sir Isaac Newton.
