"women couldn't cote until 1920.only 87years had been passed from their victory"

And some people say,"It's lie.from 18Th century,already,
half of states in USA, women was voting."

And some people say," It depends on where they lived"

Which is true about this?

Last time, when I asked something about feminism, weirdly,
some people called me like that.(A man doesn't have even any rights to know the truth Just?)

Both statements are generally true. Women's suffrage (right to vote) actually existed as far back as 1776, but was revoked shortly thereafter on a state by state basis. The first territory to re-allow women voters was Wyoming (1869) and the first state was Colorado (1893). The conditions on what elections women were allowed to vote in varied widely from one state to another until the passage and ratification of the 19th Amendment in 1920. I have included a link to a site that covers the timeline for women's suffrage.

Women were not guaranteed a right to vote throughout the US until 1920, when the 19th Amendment was ratified.

I'm sure there were places where women could vote before that -- but most likely only in state elections, not national elections (the last is a guess) -- and there were many states where women were not allowed to vote at all.

Well, there was not an amendment to the Constitution until 1920. Many states, however, allowed women to vote long before that. It really did depend on where they lived. Over half of the states allowed women to vote long before the 19th amendment. All the amendment did was make sure that every woman in every state could always vote. It really just tied every state together.

Women didn't have the legal right to vote until 1920. Some states were allowing women voting rights, but their votes legally didn't count for anything. They were allowed to vote in local and state elections, but national elections were still out of their relm when it came to rights.

So in a way, all statements are true, but the most accurate was the one that states women had the legal right to vote in 1920.

They could not vote until 1920. Now maybe some places would let them occasionally and those either didnt really count or they were so few in number that you wouldent notice.

I just know that's when everything started to go downhill. First we let them vote, then they started wearing pants. . . just a downward slope.
