very simply if you dont take in you life, if your not greedy, if you dont have to many things, there is less of a chance you can get hurt. If a child has a lot of toys and you take one away from him, they will get upset. If a child has no toys, you cant take any away from him, and he wont be upset. Basically, if you dont have anything, then you dont have anything to lose.

I believe it means ...If you did not have a particular thing you cannot ever lose it. for example if you didn't have a particular talent like playing piano or singing then you will never lose it, as it wasn't ever a part of you or your life. However, as long as we have an interest, or a desire to learn and the ability and means to pursue anything in our lives we may gain what we want some time in the future. Persistence can pay off. ( I hope this helps..it is only my thoughts and I am not a qualified teacher, but we all teach each other each and evreryday as long as both sides have a desire to learn or a passion to share knowledge)

I can try my best...
For example, lets say you are in a relationship...and it's not the greatest relationship, moreover, its a relationship.
Then your signifigant other leaves you.
If the relationship wasn't that great you really didn't have anything therefore how can you loose something you don't have?
Does this help, sorry if it doesn't.

If you have a toy car that you played with every day, and lost it you would really miss that toy. But--- You never had that car, so you would not miss it because you never had it to feel that loss.

In other words, if you don't have lots of stuff, you don't have to worry about losing all that stuff. The more stuff you have, the more obsessed you are with getting more and protecting it.

It you don't have the things, you can spend your energy on love and life.
