Two things:

1. My new avatar is here and I am ready for Halloween, I decided to just do cute. Now if kids came trick and treating in the morning when I just get up I would scare them. I scare myself. Anyone else brave enough to don a halloween costume, has anyone organized a party yet?

2. Do you remember buying a birthday card for or giving an older friend or sib a bad time when they turned 40 ahead of you? I sent a bouquet of dead flowers to my sister at work, and a basket with geritol, ben gay, boost, all kinds of goodies in it when she turned 40 -

Oh to be 40 again !!! Hard to believe it once seemed so old.

I just noticed your new avatar! I think it's lovely! I also scare myself when looking in the mirror in the mornings. I do my best to avoid them!

I thought about giving my husband a hard time when he turned forty (and then 50), but he is older than me and I knew he would get even and I probably wouldn't be a very good sport. I remember thinking that 20 was almost dead! I was still in the single digits then.

I was a teen during the hippie days when the attitude was that anyone over 30 should be locked away somewhere for old folks. Then years passed and one day I woke up and headed for work after a restful sleep to a job I loved but was really feeling down and didn't know why. At work as I was doing paperwork and entered the date, it hit me. It was my 30th birthday. Nearly 30 years have passed since then and I have come to understand that "old" is just our perspective. At 20 -40 seems ancient and at 40-60 seems horribly old. Anytime I say anything about me getting old my 85 year old neighbor just gives me a dirty look. She sees me, at 57, as just a youngster. Age is just a number and we are only as old as we feel. Of course my sister talks about me being older than dirt-but she is only 13 months younger than I am.

I noticed your new avatar, it's adorable. It'd be fun to see everyone in their Halloween costumes for a party here. lol

I was the older sister by 2 yrs-she often reminds me. lol
My husband is 3 yrs younger than me and many of my friends were younger, so I never got a chance to give any one else a bad time because of their age.

I like this new you...you have had your hair styled! :)

Did you notice that Cranky now has a face? Boy is SHE pretty!

Yes, I was always teasing anyone older than me when they hit a "milestone". Now that I have passed mostly all of those milestones myself, I am too busy dealing with the consequences of age, to kid anybody else about them.

Yeah...I wish I was 40 again! Those were the days that I still had a 22 inch waist!

For my husband's 50th I had a very talented friend make a graveyard cake, with a little grave and the tombstone reading Here lies my youth! As for Halloween,I'm just being the usual witch(you can change that first letter if you like):
